Shenzhen World Block is located in the northwest of Bao'an District, spanning Fuhai and Shajing subdistricts. With a total area of 22.8 square kilometers, it includes several major projects such as the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, Shenzhen World Bay Business Circle, Bao’an Integrated Port Complex, and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Advanced Manufacturing Cooperation Zone. It has a permanent population of 152,000.

The Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, located in the core of the Shenzhen World Block, has a floor area of about 1.21 million square meters. Since its opening in November 2019, 86 exhibitions have been held with high visibility and influence both at home and abroad.

The Shenzhen World Bay Business Circle, located on the east side of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, is a popular place for shopping, entertainment, and leisure.

Located southwest of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, the Bao'an Integrated Port Complex has three 5,000-ton berths and two 1,000-ton berths, and is an important port that combines an industrial park and a supply chain integrated logistics park. In the future, it will provide a direct water route to Hong Kong to facilitate the entry of overseas transports through customs.

The Shenzhen-Hong Kong Advanced Manufacturing Cooperation Zone is one of the 20 key advanced manufacturing zones in Shenzhen providing an industrial foundation and innovation impetus for the development of the Shenzhen World Block.

Since 2019, Fuhai and Shajing subdistricts have made every effort to accelerate six aspects of building of Shenzhen World Block, including block governance, international exchanges, resident’s literacy, livable environment, industrial services, and communication capabilities. In January 2023, Shenzhen World Block was awarded recognition in the first batch of “International Demonstration Blocks” and “International Business Exchange Characteristic Blocks” in the city.

In the future, the Shenzhen World Block will vigorously develop the exhibition economy, marine economy, intelligent manufacturing industry, and urban cultural tourism industry. The block also strives to become an open and leading international exhibition and convention gateway area, an innovative and shared new engine of science and technology in the Guangdong-Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, an efficient and composite western urban center core, and a green ecological urban area of industry-city integration, to enhance the quality of the livable environment, and to accelerate the gathering of high-end talents.
